1975
I bought my first dog, Blitz vom Sternbusch, and trained him to the level of SchH3 and FH1.

1 January 1976
I joined the German SV.

1 October 1976
I began my profession as a police officer.  

1981
I bought my second dog, Ingo vom Sternbusch and trained him to the level of SchH3 and FH1.
I settled in northern Germany and began my work as a Schutzdiensthelper.

1982
I became a police dog handler with Ingo vom Sternbusch.

1985
I trained Ingo as a bomb detection dog.

1986
I founded the Shutzhund club OG Pahlen.  I am still its president, training director and a Schutzdiensthelper.  I started to change my training methods in obedience and protection work.

1989
I bought my third dog, Packo vom Hoellbachgrund.  I trained him to the level of SchH3, IPO3, FH1, DPO2 and WPO.

1991
Packo became my police dog after Ingo.  
Packo and I won the IDM (police dog championship) in my state scoring
94-99-100 = 293 points.
Participated in the International Police Dog championship (IDM) in Bayreuth.

1992
Participated in the SV-Landesgruppen Ausscheidung (LGA) – 6th place (state qualifier for the BSP)

1993
Placed 1st in the police dog state championship.
I bought the she-dog Eyra Op De Hyde and trained her to the level of SchH3, IPO3 and FH1.

1994
The first litter at my kennel “von der Dithmarscher Schweiz” was bred  with Eyra and Packo.
Packo was placed first at the SV-LGA and third at the DVG-LGA (Landesgruppen-Ausscheidung).
Packo was placed second at the Bundessiegerprüfung (BSP) in Karlsruhe scoring
96-93-99 = 288 points.

1995
I began to offer seminars.  
A second litter was bred with Eyra and Packo.
Packo participated in the WUSV Qualification in Eislingen and was placed 10th.  
Packo and I were chosen as members of the German Team for the WUSV-World Championship in Budapest (reserve).

1996
Packo participated in the VDH German Qualification in Rheine and was placed 7th.
Packo and I were chosen as members of the German Team for the VDH-World Championship in Luzern/Swiss (reserve).
Packo was placed 1st at the police-dog championship in my federal state.
Packo participated in the BSP in Bochum scoring 94-88-93 = 275 points and was placed 34th.
Eyra participated in the LGA and was placed 9th.
A third litter was bred with Eyra and Enzo von der Ottilienau.

1997
I became one of only six official police-dog training instructors in my state.
I won the police-dog championship with Packo.
Packo participated in the FCI-State Championship.
Packo was placed 7th at the SV-LGA.
Packo participated in the IDM or International Police Dog Championship in Rüsselsheim scoring 98-98-90 = 286 points and was placed 10th.
A fourth litter was bred with Eyra and Jago von der Lindenhalle.
Eyra participated in the FCI-State Championship and was placed 3rd.
Eyra participated in the SV-LGA and was placed 7th.
Eyra participated in the BSP in Ludwigshafen scoring 94-87-97 = 278 points and was placed 31st.

1998
Packo was placed 1st in all of the Police Dog Championships in my state.
Packo participated in the International Police Dog Championship (IDM) in Lübeck scoring 99-95-97 = 291 points and was placed 2nd.
Eyra was placed 1st in all of the FCI Qualifications.
Eyra and I were chosen as members of the German Team for the FCI-World Championship in Meppen (reserve).  Our team won the World Championship.
Eyra participated in the BSP in Baunatal scoring 99-87-97 = 283 points and was placed 12th.
I bought Itor Op de Hyde (four years old).
Taught thirteen seminars in Germany.

1999
I became an official SV teaching helper for my federal state.
Taught four seminars in the United States – two in Albuguerque (NM) and two in Milan (Michigan).
Taught eleven seminars in Germany.

2000
I rebought Dunja von der Dithmarscher Schweiz, a she-dog from my fourth litter of pups.
Taught four seminars in the United States – two in Fort Dodge (Iowa) and two in Boston (Mass).
Taught twelve seminars in Germany.

2001
I was elected Assistant Training Director on the board of Directors for the SV of my federal state.
Taught one seminar each in Albuguerque (NM), Kansas City (MS), Peoria (IL) and Boston (Mass).
Taught six seminars in Germany.
Itor and I qualified for the FCI-Qualification in Gotha.
Itor and I participated in the BSP in Göttingen scoring 98-92-88 = 278 points and were placed 46th.
Itor and I participated in the Nationals in Boston (MA) scoring 94-95-95 = 284 points and was placed 1st.
I trained Dunja to the level of SchH1.
I bought a new puppy – Nando Op de Hyde.

2002
Taught three seminars in Germany.
Taught one seminar each in Albuquerque (NB), Elkwater (IN) and two seminars in Boston (MA) – Inner City Schutzhund Club and Bay State Club).
Itor was placed 1st at the Police-Dog State Championship scoring80-97-91 = 268 points.
Itor was placed 5th at the SV-Qualifications scoring 95-91-93 = 279 points.
Itor participated in the BSP in Lübeck scoring 100-88-93 = 281 points and was placed 13th.
Itor participated in the Nationals in Gadsden (Alabama) with 90-92-97 = 279 points and was placed 2nd.
I trained Dunja to the levels of SchH2 and SchH3.

2003
I was placed 1st in several Championships with Itor.
I bought and trained Jago vom Pendel Bach.  He was sold by my police dog training school as an untrainable dog.  He had three previous owners, two of whom are police dog handlers.
I also bought Benn von der Liszt (10 months old) and his half sister Dina von der Liszt (as an 8 week old puppy), a she-dog from one of Itors’ litters.
Taught four seminars in America, two in Australia and four in Germany.

2004
Itor and I were awarded 1st place in two of the police-dog championships.
Itor retired on 1 September 2004.
I trained and now work with my new police dog Fels von der Schiffslache, a very difficult dog to handle who had three previous owners, two of whom were police-dog handlers. He,too, was considered to be an untrainable dog.
Taught six seminars in America, one in Finnland and three in Germany.
